Dress warmly, put on your helmet, and the mine train will rumble into the dark tunnels. 300 meters underground, mining guides explain how lead and zinc ores were mined and extracted. A massive hoisting machine and a deafening drilling rig are truly impressive. A Dutch-language audio guide is available for the tour of the mine shaft. In the Mining Museum, tools, machines, and sparkling minerals tell the story of the miners’ world. Hiking enthusiasts can set out on the 11-kilometer-long mining trail.
