Then one of the most beautiful Christmas markets in the entire Ruhr metropolis opens in Europe's largest shopping and leisure center - with a spectacular light show that evokes atmospheric Advent motifs in the evening sky above the city. Until Dec. 23, more than 150 lovingly designed wooden stalls along the boulevard and on the squares invite you to stroll, wonder and try: the gnome market with talking fairy tree and dwarf train, Santa's Village in American style and the mountain Christmas market with a fast toboggan run, snow-scooter course and sturdy ski huts. Ideal for picking out gifts, relaxed shopping or for a little mulled wine in between! More information and the exact opening hours of the Centro Christmas World can be found at: www.westfield-centro.de
Furthermore, there is much more to see and experience in Oberhausen: visit the 117-meter-high Gasometer (until November 26), play a few rounds with family and friends in the new leisure attraction Topgolf, visit the amazing "House of Magic" on the Centro Promenade or let your gaze wander over the Ruhr region in the Oberhausen Ferris wheel "Eye55." Germany's largest Sealife aquarium and the Legoland Discovery Centre have also opened their doors, as has the Ludwiggalerie Schloss Oberhausen in the nearby Kaisergarten.
Information, tickets and travel offers are available from Tourist Information Oberhausen at two locations; at the main train station and in the Centro.
For example, a "Christmas-in-Oberhausen-Arrangement" with overnight stay from 70 euros per person for your personal visit to the Christmas market.
