Upper Silesia is a region that has grown over the centuries with many cultural, linguistic and political influences in the heart of Europe.

The Oberschlesisches Landesmuseum focuses on communicating knowledge about the past and the present and on intergenerational dialogue. In addition to the permanent exhibition, there are changing exhibitions, a broad museum educational program, workshops and contemporary witness projects.

The museum is located between Düsseldorf and Essen near the Breitscheid traffic junction and is easily accessible by car.
