The permanent collection is open to all visitors free of charge. In addition to the permanent exhibition, the museum offers changing special exhibitions, tours and concerts, among other things.
Oskar Kokoschka and Alma Mahler
From March 20, 2025, the Museum Folkwang devotes itself exclusively to Woman in Blue works by Oskar Kokoschka for the first time, inspired by Alma Mahler. Two personalities, one exhibition - one extraordinary highlight not to be missed!
William Kentridge
From September 4, 2025, discover the works of internationally acclaimed artist William Kentridge! An impressive spectrum of his work will be presented - from moving animated films and multimedia works to drawings and graphics and sculptures from around the world four decades.
