Grafschafter Museum in the castle

Exhibitions & Museums

Countess Walburga of Nieuwenaar-Moers had no luck in love.

Her first husband was beheaded by the Spaniards; the second died in an explosion. About 400 years ago, Moers Castle was inhabited by the Countess. Now it welcomes visitors and houses the Grafschafter Museum. The museum is located in the former moated castle of the Counts of Moers. In addition to the history of the castle, cultural history and the history of daily life in the region, the museum also displays historical doll rooms. The museum also includes a medieval play and learning city for children.
