Extraschicht festival, annual highlight

The Ruhr metropolis is once again organizing this grand festival this year

On June 1, 2024, from 5 to 1 p.m., some 50 former mines, blast furnaces, machine shops, factory buildings and other industrial cultural sites will be transformed into stages for 500 events in music, comedy, art, culture, theater and acrobatics for some 200,000 visitors. The program of the Night of Industrial Culture ranges from big shows to exclusive tours.
