Today, Van Gogh is one of the most famous painters of all time, but he was denied fame and recognition during his lifetime. His life was marked by a tireless desire to be recognized as an artist. In just ten years, he created over 864 paintings and more than 1000 drawings, including masterpieces such as “Starry Night”, “The Sunflowers” and “The Potato Eaters”. It was only after his death, thanks to the tireless efforts of his brother Theo’s wife, Johanna van Gogh-Bonger, that his works received the attention they deserved.
