Enjoy nature and explore the rural culture of yesterday. Immerse yourself in the past. Here at the LVR Open Air Museum in Lindlar, in the heart of the Berg region and about 30 kilometres east of Cologne, you can experience at first hand how people lived in the fields. The 30-hectare site is largely worked by horse and plough according to the historical model. Get to know very rare indigenous animal and plant species. Here you can not only touch history, but also smell it. Look over the shoulder of the craftsmen as they demonstrate old working techniques or ask the housekeeper about old cooking recipes.
