Fine dining at Schwarz Gold

Not only does the exterior of SchwarzGold serve as a bridge to the history of the Ruhr region, but the cuisine also brings together what belongs together.

Chef Pierre Beckerling, who was awarded a Michelin star here for the second time in 2025, has a vision that goes far beyond the typical cuisine of the Ruhr region. He is deeply committed to incorporating the international diversity of people who came here from other countries—such as Turkey, Italy, Poland, and so on—and made their home here.

From Wednesday through Saturday, we welcome you to enjoy fine dining and wine culture in the former gas freezer of the Hansa coke plant in Dortmund. Start your evening at 6:00 PM with an aperitif at the bar or on the piano platform. Starting at 6:30 PM, your culinary journey at SchwarzGold begins. Glück auf and welcome!

SchwarzGold is located in the heart of the Hansa coking plant complex, about a five-minute walk from the main entrance. If you are arriving by car, please use parking lots P1 and P2 near the main entrance. Their shuttle service provides a comfortable ride from the entrance to the SchwarzGold restaurant.
