PAN Art Forum

Exhibitions & Museums

The PAN art forum Niederrhein was opened in 2003.

The museum is located in the former crossbeam, popularly known as the chocolate bar of the Lohmann chocolate factory. It is home to the poster collection of Ernst and Ursel Müller, which consists of a collection of almost 60,000 posters, the foundation of which was laid in 1968. Now known as the Stiftung Plakatmuseum am Niederrhein Sammlung Ernst und Ursel Müller, the collection focuses on cultural posters from the 1970s, 1980s, and 1990s. Renowned designers such as Milton Glaser, Erhard Grüttner, Uwe Loesch, Holger Matthies, Gunter Rambow, Paula Scher, Ralf Schraivogel, Jürgen Spohn, Walter Tafelmeier, and Niklaus Troxler, to name but a few, are represented in the collection. Thanks to donations from private individuals and government agencies, the collection is growing steadily. The museum's goal is to showcase poster art and its development to the public. In addition, the museum also offers a platform for current artistic positions.
