Tourism, Holidays & Nature

All in the green...

...Straelen am Niederrhein. In the far west of Germany, right on the Dutch border near Venlo, lies Straelen. "Everything in green" - this is what the town communicates, where production horticulture is at home. For those who do not know the multifaceted structure of the city of Straelen, it is simply the "flower city. Year after year, more flowers and vegetables are marketed here than anywhere else in Germany.

Cycling is a popular leisure activity in Straelen. Route planning is very easy thanks to the junction system completed last summer. This allows pedal riders to plan their routes "without limitation" and explore the beautiful Lower Rhine in all directions.

Moreover, the people of Straelen are very popular. People like you and me. Not models, but people who shape the cityscape. In this case they are people who are typical for Straelen - created by the artist Christel Lechner from Witten. They are also ideal as photo motifs. By now, 14 everyday people characterise the centre of Straelen and are definitely worth a visit.
